Stein woke in a cold sweat, his chest heaving like he'd just run a marathon. He hadn't had that nightmare-memory of his and Medusa's actions that cold December night almost sixteen years ago-since he'd found out what his actions had created. The doctor ran a hand down his face wearily and reached for his glasses. After his eyes adjusted, he glanced at the time. Ten forty-five.
